On 25 September 2026 at approximately 14:05, a Tracep Congo Aviation Let L-410UVP, registered 9S-GUC and manufacturer serial number 831110, crashed near Kenge in the DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO while operating a non-scheduled passenger service from Kikwit Airport (KKW/FZCA) to Kinshasa-N’Djili. The aircraft, manufactured in 1983 and powered by two Walter M-601 engines, departed Kikwit at about 13:50 before crashing approximately 15 minutes later while en route. The aircraft was destroyed and burst into flames, with all 17 occupants—13 passengers and four crew members—reported killed, resulting in a total of 17 fatalities and no reported fatalities on the ground.
