TAAG Angola Airlines has strengthened its African cargo network with the launch of a new dedicated Luanda–Lusaka freighter service, marking another milestone in its strategy to expand its share of the continent's air freight market. The inaugural flight departed Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda for Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka on 24 July 2026, operated by a Boeing 737-800 Freighter carrying 12.8 tonnes of cargo originating from Amsterdam, including machine parts, IT equipment, personal effects and other high-value goods. The service will initially operate once weekly and is supported by a strategic partnership with NAC2000, which will provide ramp and cargo handling services as well as act as TAAG's General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) in ZAMBIA. The airline reported strong early demand, with 14- and 16-tonne cargo loads already booked for subsequent flights.
