A Desert Air Cessna 210M Centurion II, registered V5-KER, was involved in a fatal crash on 10 May 2026 near Hammersdal, close to Sossusvlei in Namibia’s Hardap Region. The aircraft, operating a non-scheduled charter or air taxi passenger service, had departed from the vicinity of Hosea Kutako International Airport and was en route to Keerweder when the accident occurred during the en-route phase of the flight. The aircraft was destroyed on impact, and all four occupants onboard — comprising the pilot and three passengers — lost their lives. The accident is being investigated by Namibia’s Directorate of Aircraft Accident Investigations (DAAI).
