
Nile Air has taken delivery of an Airbus A320-214 (MSN 4936), now registered SU-BQR, on 3 March 2026 under lease from Aviation Capital Group. The 14-year-old aircraft, powered by CFM56-5B4/3 engines, was originally delivered to Peach Aviation in December 2011 before later joining AirAsia India (later rebranded as AIX Connect) and subsequently operating with Air India Express until September 2025. After being stored in INDIA, the aircraft was ferried from VO95–Bengaluru–Muscat–Cairo between 3–4 March 2026 ahead of its induction into Nile Air’s fleet, supporting the carrier’s narrowbody operations from EGYPT.
Uganda Airlines began operating a wet-leased Boeing 787 from Ethiopian Airlines on March 7, 2026, to maintain its long-haul services and ensure operational continuity.
