BURKINA FASO-based Kangala Air Express has strengthened its VIP aviation capabilities with the acquisition of the country's first Boeing 737 Business Jet (BBJ), a Boeing 737-72T(WL) registered XT-AKD (MSN 29024). The 27.7-year-old aircraft, which first flew on 24 October 1998 and is powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B26 engines, was delivered to Ouagadougou in early July 2026 after being ferried from Miami Opa-locka Airport via White Plains and Dakar Blaise Diagne International Airport. Previously registered as N50TC with Tracinda Corporation before transferring to U.S. real estate developer Crescent Heights as N480CH, the aircraft had been withdrawn from service in June 2026 prior to its transfer to BURKINA FASO. Configured with a luxurious 12-seat VIP cabin featuring a private master suite and intercontinental range, the BBJ will primarily operate from Dubai on routes to West Africa, serving executives, government institutions and private clients.
