Airline Fleet trails: Week 31, 2026

Airlink has taken delivery of a brand-new Embraer E195-E2, registered ZS-LKD, marking the latest addition to the South African regional carrier’s growing fleet. The aircraft, bearing Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) 19020230, was manufactured at Embraer’s São José dos Campos (SJK) facility in BRAZIL and carries the test registration PR-EUD prior to delivery. The E195-E2 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1900G-series engines and is configured with 12 seats in business class and 112 in economy (C12Y112), providing a total capacity of 124 passengers. The aircraft was formally delivered to Airlink on 3 August 2026, at an age of approximately 0.1 years, and subsequently ferried from São José dos Campos to O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg on 3–4 August 2026. The aircraft is currently listed as active under Airlink and operates with the Mode-S/hex code 009E24. As a new-generation E2 aircraft, ZS-LKD strengthens Airlink’s fleet with improved fuel efficiency, greater passenger capacity and longer-range capability compared with earlier-generation regional jets, supporting the airline’s continued expansion of its regional and international network.
