    Air Congo has expanded its fleet with the addition of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registered ET-ASI, marking a significant milestone in the airline's fleet development and long-haul ambitions. The aircraft, bearing Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN 38758) and Line Number 298, was built at Boeing's Everett production facility and completed its first flight on 7 May 2015. Delivered to Ethiopian Airlines in May 2015 under lease from AerCap, the aircraft is configured with 270 seats, comprising 24 Business Class and 246 Economy Class seats, and is powered by two General Electric GEnx-1B engines renowned for their fuel efficiency, long-range capability, and reduced operating costs. On 30 June 2026, the 11.2-year-old widebody was transferred to Air Congo under a lease agreement from Ethiopian Airlines, reflecting the growing strategic partnership between the two carriers.
