    Ethiopian Airlines Group has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art passenger terminal at Bahir Dar Dejazmach Belay Zeleke International Airport, marking a significant upgrade to the aviation infrastructure serving one of ETHIOPIA’s key tourism and commercial centres. The new terminal, officially opened in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, is designed to increase the airport’s operational capacity, improve passenger processing and enhance the overall travel experience. The development forms part of Ethiopian Airlines’ broader strategy to modernise and expand airport infrastructure beyond Addis Ababa, while strengthening domestic connectivity and supporting the growth of tourism around Bahir Dar, Lake Tana and the Blue Nile Falls. The investment is particularly important as Bahir Dar is among ETHIOPIA’s busiest secondary aviation markets, with improved terminal infrastructure providing greater scope for future increases in flight frequencies and potentially additional regional services.
