The 29th General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) was held at ministerial level in Rabat, MOROCCO, on 29–30 June 2026, bringing together Arab transport ministers, civil aviation authorities, and technical experts to deliberate on regional aviation policy, safety oversight, and regulatory harmonisation. Convened by the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, the meeting served as the organisation’s highest decision-making forum, reviewing progress on aviation cooperation frameworks, ICAO-aligned standards implementation, and capacity-building initiatives across member states. The assembly also conducted key governance elections, resulting in LIBYA’S first-ever election to the ACAO Executive Council for a two-year term, alongside its appointment to four technical committees—an outcome seen as a sign of growing confidence in LIBYA’S civil aviation reforms.
