    EGYPT’S Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh el Hefny, met with LIBYA’S Civil Aviation Authority head, Mohamed Abd al Salam Shalibek, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in civil aviation, resulting in the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The MoU aimed to enhance coordination in managing and operating Egyptian and Libyan airspaces, improve safety and efficiency, and align with international standards. It included provisions for training programs, capacity building, technical assistance, airspace modernization, advanced navigation technologies, and optimized air traffic flows. Hefny described the agreement as a key step toward regional integration, boosting air connectivity, reducing flight times and costs, and enhancing the economic and competitive position of both countries’ airspaces.
