The European Parliament has approved CROATIA's formal inclusion in the EU–MOROCCO Euro-Mediterranean Aviation Agreement, with 625 votes in favour, 16 against and 20 abstentions, marking the final parliamentary step in extending the bloc's liberalized aviation framework to all European Union member states. The protocol is purely technical, adapting the 2006 Open Skies Agreement to CROATIA's 2013 accession to the EU without altering its market access provisions, safety standards or territorial scope. Once it receives final approval from the Council of the European Union, Croatian, Moroccan and other EU airlines will enjoy equal, non-discriminatory access to air services between CROATIA and MOROCCO under the common EU aviation framework, replacing the outdated 1999 bilateral air services agreement. The agreement is expected to facilitate the launch of new direct routes while strengthening tourism, trade and business connectivity between the two countries.
