
On 2 February 2026, Airlink launched a new Johannesburg (JNB)–Nacala (MNC) service, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with flight numbers 4Z236 outbound and 4Z237 inbound. The inaugural flight used an Embraer E135 (ZS-TGC) in the Skybuck livery. Nacala, Mozambique’s third-largest port and a gateway to the Nacala Corridor, becomes Airlink’s seventh destination in the country, joining Beira, Maputo, Nampula, Pemba, Tete, and Vilanculos. The route aims to enhance trade, tourism, and regional connectivity for northern Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia, with passengers enjoying free luggage allowances, sports equipment accommodation, light meals, and generous legroom. The service reflects Airlink’s three-decade-long commitment to Mozambique and its broader strategy of strengthening multimodal transport links and regional air connectivity, with plans to increase frequency and capacity as demand grows.
