
Air Sierra Leone launched a new weekly service from Banjul, Gambia, to London Gatwick on February 15, 2026, expanding its UK presence and strengthening West Africa–UK connectivity. The route builds on the airline’s successful Freetown–London service and is expected to increase to up to three weekly flights based on demand. The service provides Gambian travelers with direct access to the UK and offers UK-based passengers convenient travel to Gambia, supporting tourism, business, and cultural exchange. Operated with modern aircraft, the route also highlights Air Sierra Leone’s broader strategy to grow its network, enhance regional connectivity, and promote Gambia as a prime travel destination.
