    Swissport has expanded its cargo operations across AFRICA through the acquisition of Swiftair Maroc, a CASABLANCA-based cargo handling company operating at Mohammed V International Airport in MOROCCO, the country’s primary airfreight gateway handling approximately 95% of national cargo volumes. The move marks Swissport’s entry into the Moroccan cargo market and strengthens its strategic position connecting EUROPE, AFRICA, and the Americas. Swiftair Maroc adds significant logistics infrastructure to Swissport’s portfolio, including a 3,700-square-metre airside warehouse equipped with temperature-controlled facilities for pharmaceuticals and perishable cargo, supporting key Moroccan export industries such as automotive, aerospace, agriculture, and textiles. The transaction, still subject to regulatory approval, follows Swissport’s recent acquisition of a majority stake in CV Handling in CABO VERDE, reinforcing the company’s growing footprint across the continent.
