
The Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) of SOUTH AFRICA and the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in aviation training, air traffic management technology, and regional integration aimed at enhancing aviation safety and operational efficiency across AFRICA. The partnership builds on years of collaboration between the two organisations in training and technology exchange to improve regional air navigation services. The agreement was formalised during the Sixth SOUTH AFRICA–BOTSWANA Bi-National Commission summit held from 18–21 May 2026 and was signed by Sandile Hogana, Chief Customer Solutions Officer of ATNS, and newly appointed CAAB CEO Captain Thuto Toise.
