The aircraft, manufacturer serial number 60326 and line number 868, was manufactured at Boeing's Charleston facility and first flew on 15 July 2019. Powered by two General Electric GEnx-1B74/75 engines, it features a two-class configuration accommodating 292 passengers, comprising 30 business-class and 262 economy-class seats. The aircraft previously operated for China's Suparna Airlines as B-20AF from July 2019 before transitioning to MIAT Mongolian Airlines in August 2023, where it was named Khubilai Khaan. It subsequently entered a lease arrangement with Gulf Air in December 2025 before returning to MIAT in March 2026. Its transfer to Air Congo marks another international operator transition for the seven-year-old widebody aircraft, potentially supporting the airline's long-haul operations and international network development.
