The 2026 WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS have recognised several AFRICAN aviation and travel industry players across key airline, airport and tourism categories, highlighting the continent’s leading performers in service quality, connectivity and passenger experience. Ethiopian Airlines emerged strongly, winning AFRICA’S Leading Airline – Business Class 2026, while also ranking second for AFRICA’S Leading Airline Brand and third for AFRICA’S Leading Airline Inflight Entertainment; its ShebaMiles programme was named AFRICA’S Leading Airline Rewards Programme. Kenya Airways was named AFRICA’S Leading Airline 2026, in addition to ranking second for Economy Class and third for its Msafiri inflight magazine, while its Pride Lounge won AFRICA’S Leading Airline Lounge. AirKenya was recognised as KENYA’S Leading Domestic Safari Carrier, while Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport retained the title of AFRICA’S Leading Airport Hotel.
