The 10th Aviation AFRICA Summit & Exhibition, held at Nairobi’s Sarit Expo Centre on 9–10 September 2026, brought together aviation stakeholders from across AFRICA and beyond to address the sector’s most pressing challenges, including airline profitability, intra-African connectivity, implementation of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), aircraft financing, airport infrastructure, MRO capacity, skills development, aviation technology and regulatory harmonisation. The Nairobi edition attracted representatives from airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities, aircraft manufacturers, financiers, lessors, MRO providers, technology companies, training institutions and investors, providing both a policy forum and a platform for commercial partnerships. Discussions highlighted the persistent structural constraints limiting African aviation growth, particularly high operating costs, fragmented markets, expensive financing, inadequate infrastructure and regulatory barriers that continue to constrain connectivity and competitiveness despite significant latent demand.
