    The African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and CABO VERDE’s civil aviation authority have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing the development of African civil aviation. The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration across several critical areas, including aviation safety, air traffic management, technical cooperation and capacity building, supporting efforts to strengthen regulatory and operational capabilities within the continent. The partnership also reflects AFCAC’s broader role in facilitating institutional cooperation among African aviation authorities and promoting the harmonisation of standards, knowledge exchange and technical expertise. For CABO VERDE, the agreement provides an opportunity to deepen its engagement with continental aviation initiatives, while for AFCAC it further expands its network of partnerships as AFRICA works toward a more integrated, safer, efficient and technically capable air transport sector.
