
Jambojet has resumed daily flights between Nairobi and Entebbe after a seven-year hiatus, marking the low-cost carrier’s return to the Ugandan market and restoring a direct link that had been suspended in 2019 after approximately two years of operation. The inaugural service from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) operated on 1 October 2026 using a De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400, registration 5Y-JXH, with flight JM8522 departing Nairobi at 10:11 a.m. and arriving in Entebbe at 11:11 a.m., representing an approximately one-hour sector. The return service operates as JM8523, providing daily connectivity on the important KENYA–UGANDA air corridor. Jambojet CEO Karanja Ndegwa said the route is expected to facilitate trade, tourism and investment between KENYA and UGANDA, while the airline’s experience gained during the intervening period, including the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, would support its renewed operation.
