    Freebird Airlines has launched a new daily winter programme linking EGYPT’s Aswan International Airport with seven destinations in GERMANY, marking the Turkish carrier’s first services to AFRICA. The inaugural operation took place on 14 September 2026, with an Airbus A320-200 operated through Freebird Airlines Europe arriving in Aswan from Stuttgart before continuing to Berlin Brandenburg. The programme connects Aswan with Stuttgart, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Hannover, providing direct air links between the southern Egyptian tourism destination and major German markets during the winter season. According to ch-aviation, Freebird is currently the only carrier offering direct connections between Aswan and GERMANY, while Nesma Airlines provides Aswan with a European connection to Madrid. The new operation represents a significant expansion of Freebird Airlines’ network into AFRICA and strengthens Aswan’s international connectivity, particularly for the German leisure and tourism market.
