Nigerian regional carrier Enugu Air has launched its first international service, commencing twice-weekly flights between Enugu, Nigeria, and Douala, Cameroon, on 23 September 2026 and establishing a direct air link between southeastern Nigeria and Cameroon’s principal commercial centre. The service operates from Akanu Ibiam International Airport to Douala International Airport on Mondays and Wednesdays using a 76-seat Embraer E170, with departures from Enugu scheduled at 12:45 and arrivals in Douala at 13:45, while the return service departs at 14:30 and arrives in Enugu at 15:30. The route is designed to support passenger and business connectivity between the two markets while also allowing travellers from Lagos and Abuja to connect to Douala through Enugu. The launch marks Enugu Air’s transition from a domestic operator into regional international operations; the airline currently serves several Nigerian cities and has a fleet reported at six aircraft, including one CRJ200, one E170, one E190 and three E195s.
