
Royal Air Maroc has taken delivery of a new Boeing 737-8 MAX, registered CN-RHQ (MSN 44334, Line Number 9666), further strengthening the carrier’s narrow-body fleet and network expansion strategy. The aircraft was manufactured at Boeing’s Renton production facility in WASHINGTON, USA, and completed its maiden flight on 7 May 2026 under the test registration N4022T. Configured to accommodate 156 passengers in a two-class layout comprising 12 business class and 144 economy class seats, the aircraft is powered by two CFM International LEAP-1B27 engines, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and enhanced operational economics compared to previous-generation Boeing 737 variants. The aircraft was officially delivered to ROYAL AIR MAROC on 29 May 2026 and subsequently ferried from Boeing Field (BFI), USA, via Gander (YQX), CANADA, to the airline’s hub in Casablanca (CMN), MOROCCO, between 29 and 30 May 2026. As one of the newest additions to the airline’s fleet, CN-RHQ is expected to support the carrier’s ongoing fleet modernization programme and capacity growth across domestic, regional, and international routes.
