
Caliphate Air has added an Embraer ERJ-145LR to its fleet, with aircraft 5N-SOM joining the Nigerian carrier on 3 September 2026, according to fleet data last updated on 3 September. The aircraft, manufacturer serial number 14500845, is a 22.1-year-old ERJ-145LR manufactured by Embraer at São José dos Campos in BRAZIL and powered by two Allison/ Rolls-Royce AE3007A1P engines. Originally delivered as N574RP to Chautauqua Airlines for Delta Connection operations in September 2004 in a 50-seat configuration, the aircraft subsequently operated with Shuttle America under Delta Connection before moving to INDIA’s Star Air as VT-GSC in September 2018. Following its withdrawal from service in November 2025, the aircraft spent periods in storage at Mbombela, Lanseria and Kruger Mpumalanga airports in SOUTH AFRICA through 3 September 2026. It has now been re-registered 5N-SOM and entered active service with Caliphate Air, carrying ICAO hex code 064370.
