    Skyward Airlines launched four-times-weekly direct scheduled flights between Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and Garissa on August 13, 2026, strengthening air connectivity between the capital and North Eastern KENYA while creating new opportunities for passenger travel, trade, tourism, investment and humanitarian activity. The service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Wilson Airport at 11:00 a.m. and arriving in Garissa at 11:50 a.m. Skyward Airlines CEO Diana Nyambura said the route represented the airline’s commitment to connecting underserved communities and bringing North Eastern KENYA closer to the rest of the country. Beyond passenger services, the route is expected to enhance the movement of cargo, agricultural produce, commercial goods and time-sensitive shipments, complementing Skyward’s existing cargo and parcel services, which can handle consignments of up to 350 kg.
