    French aerospace supplier Daher has announced plans to shift part of its Airbus-related production and assembly operations from its Tarbes facility in FRANCE to MOROCCO as part of a broader restructuring strategy aimed at restoring profitability and improving industrial competitiveness. The relocation, which forms part of the company’s “Edge” turnaround plan, will involve transferring low-complexity parts manufacturing and composite assembly work for Airbus aircraft models such as the A320 and A350 to Moroccan subcontractors and Daher’s Tangier site between 2026 and 2027. The move is driven by cost efficiency considerations, with production costs in Morocco significantly lower than in France, and is expected to enhance Daher’s ability to compete for future aerospace and defence contracts, including Airbus’s next-generation programmes. While no layoffs are planned, some temporary positions in France will be phased out, and affected staff will be reassigned internally, underscoring Morocco’s growing role as a key aerospace manufacturing hub within EUROPE–AFRICA industrial value chains.
