    GHANA'S Parliament has officially ratified Bilateral Air Services Agreements (BASAs) with BENIN, SAUDI ARABIA, QATAR, GUYANA, MAURITIUS, and LUXEMBOURG, paving the way for stronger international aviation cooperation and expanded air connectivity. Approved in accordance with Article 75 of GHANA'S Constitution, the agreements will enable designated airlines to operate commercial services between the signatory countries while promoting trade, tourism, investment, and economic growth. Transport Minister Joseph Nikpe Bukari said the BASAs will facilitate easier travel and reinforce compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety and operational standards. Lawmakers from across the political spectrum welcomed the agreements, noting they will create employment opportunities, support the growth of GHANA'S aviation sector, and advance the country's ambition of becoming a leading aviation hub in West Africa.
