
EgyptAir (MS) has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350‑900, becoming the launch operator of the type in North Africa and the first of 16 on order. Configured with 30 Business Class suites and 310 Economy Class seats featuring direct aisle access, the aircraft’s state-of-the-art Airspace cabin enhances comfort and ergonomics for passengers and crew on long-haul flights. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines and built with lightweight materials, the A350‑900 offers a 25% reduction in fuel consumption, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions compared with previous-generation aircraft, while enabling non-stop flights up to 9,700 nautical miles. This delivery supports EgyptAir’s long-haul fleet modernization and network expansion from its Cairo hub, including new routes to North Asia and the U.S. West Coast. The addition complements its existing Airbus fleet of 11 A330 Family aircraft, eight A320neos, and seven A321neos, reinforcing EgyptAir’s regional leadership and growing global presence.
