    On Sunday, 1 February 2026, Khartoum International Airport (KRT) received its first scheduled commercial flight in over two years, with SUDAN AIRWAYS landing from Port Sudan International Airport (PZU). This marks a significant milestone in Sudan’s gradual recovery after the conflict that began in April 2023, which had effectively halted regular air services and damaged airport infrastructure. While an unscheduled Badr Airlines flight landed in October 2025, no regular operations occurred until this flight.
