
The UNITED ARAB EMIRATES and the Kingdom of ESWATINI have signed a memorandum of understanding to exempt holders of diplomatic and service passports from entry visa requirements, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and facilitating official travel. The agreement, signed in Abu Dhabi by UAE Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and Eswatini’s Minister for Home Affairs Princess Lindiwe, is expected to enhance cooperation by easing movement for government officials and supporting deeper economic, diplomatic, and investment engagement between the two countries. Both sides described the arrangement as part of a broader effort to deepen people-to-people ties and build on existing frameworks, including a 2024 double taxation avoidance agreement and a 2025 investment promotion and protection pact.
