    CHADIAN carrier Royal Airways launched its inaugural flight between Douala, CAMEROON, and Bangui, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, on 7 October 2026, expanding its regional network and strengthening air connectivity across CENTRAL AFRICA. The new service builds on the airline’s entry into the CAMEROONIAN market in November 2025, when it introduced three weekly flights between Douala and N’Djamena, CHAD’s capital. The addition of Bangui provides more travel options linking the three countries and is intended to facilitate cross-border trade, commercial exchanges and passenger movement while increasing Royal Airways’ operational activity at Douala International Airport, which serves CAMEROON’s economic capital. According to Jacob Bahayang, director of Douala International Airport, Royal Airways has transported nearly 4,000 passengers and recorded 212 aircraft movements at the airport since commencing operations on 24 November 2025.
